📌 Insurance Tip of the Day

I was reviewing a client’s upcoming home and auto renewal and noticed something important. They had removed a third vehicle from their auto policy last year by calling the carrier directly—but the carrier never removed that vehicle from their umbrella policy. That meant they’d been paying for coverage they didn’t need for over a year without realizing it.

I contacted the carrier, had the umbrella updated to the correct two vehicles, and got the change backdated. The client will now receive a credit for the extra premium they shouldn’t have been charged.

✨ Situations like this are a great reminder of the value of having an independent insurance agent—someone who double-checks the details and advocates for YOU, not the carrier.

🦃 Don't Pet the Gobblers 🦃

It’s that time of year again, when wild turkeys roam the streets like they own the place—because, let’s be honest, they kind of do.

Here’s the deal:
🦃 They’re not lost.
🦃 Despite being fluffy, they’re not friendly.
🦃 No, you can’t “just pet one real quick.”
🦃 The one missing a foot is a-ok, so LEAVE HIM ALONE.
🦃 They must not be chased into lakes with cars.

These birds are basically tiny dinosaurs with attitude problems. If you make eye contact, it's already too late. They’ve got beef (or… whatever turkeys have), and they hold grudges. One minute you're taking a peaceful walk, the next you’re in a low-speed chase with a puffed-up gobble monster who thinks you're invading his turf.

If you are worried about a turkey's welfare, you can call us at (970) 350-9600, or the Fort Collins Colorado Parks and Wildlife office at (970) 472-4300. If they are not in distress, you do not need to call us.

Turkeys are in prime breeding season and are naturally migrating. They do not need to be picked up. They do not need to be rescued. They do not need us. So please. For your safety—and your dignity—leave the turkeys alone. Let them vibe, strut, and scream into the void like nature intended.
