Way to go Panthers! We will be cheering on both Panther Softball 🥎 and baseball teams! !!!!

Great Bend softball is headed to the 5A State Tournament after another impressive regional performance on its home field.

The Lady Panthers outscored opponents 24-4 throughout the regional, opening with an 11-1 six-inning win over Topeka West before defeating Valley Center 13-3 in the championship game.

The title game brought plenty of drama, as lightning delayed play for nearly two hours with the score tied 2-2 in the second inning and two runners on base. Once play resumed, Great Bend’s offense exploded and the Panthers rolled to the run-rule victory, finishing the night around midnight.

This also marked the third straight season Great Bend has hosted regionals, and now the Lady Panthers are 25-1 headed back to state with momentum on their side.
