MORTGAGE MINUTE MONDAY | Why is my mortgage credit score different?

Your credit app says 720… but your mortgage lender pulls something different. 🤔

That’s because the score you see online may use a different scoring model.

For most mortgage loans, lenders traditionally use FICO Score 2 (Experian), FICO Score 5 (Equifax) and FICO Score 4 (TransUnion) on a tri-merge credit report — typically using the middle qualifying score.

So don’t let the score on an app determine if you’re ready to buy. Let’s look at the score that actually matters for your mortgage. 🏡
