Make sure you are talking to a Mortgage Loan Officer BEFORE you start shopping for your next home. So much time is wasted looking at properties you can't qualify for. In fifteen minutes or so you can get a pre-authorization that could save you some heartache. Now that the hunt is on, get your pre-approval going, which often takes more time. Once pre-approved, you can submit it with your offer, letting sellers know you are solid.
