To say the least, the CA FAIR Plan is a real s**t show right now! Nothing is quick, nothing is easy dealing with them, but there is no other option in many cases. It often takes over a week to get a formal quote back that we can bind once we submit a complete application with photos.
Not to mention... this is very important PSA about the CA FAIR Plan and this article does not say it, but please know THE CA FAIR PLAN NO LONGER HAS A GRACE PERIOD!!! This means if they do not receive your renewal premium by the due date (your annual renewal date) the policy will be canceled the next day and they do not offer reinstatements. The policy needs to be completely rewritten from scratch. New photos too!!! So please do not be late on paying your renewal. This will save both YOU and your broker a lot of frustration! Plus, you won't have a lapse in coverage.
Thanks for your patience with us dealing with the rules and speed of the CA FAIR Plan, its not easy for brokers as well.
