• Children’s v***r rub

Our “month of giving” #2 is in honor of Domestic Victims Awareness Month. Durning this month we will collect personal care items for children who have escaped violent home situations. We will donate the collected items to Angels in the Attic.

💜 Domestic Victims Awareness Month began in October 1981 as a national "Day of Unity" conceived by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) to connect advocates working to end violence against women and children.

💜 The month aims to mourn those lost to domestic violence, celebrate survivors, connect advocates, and educate the public on recognizing and preventing abuse.

The national guiding theme for 2026 is "With Survivors, Always," focusing heavily on community action, supporting survivor needs, and pushing back against service cuts and barriers to safety.

When we say a survivor is “starting over,” what does that actually mean?

Sometimes it means starting with almost nothing.

Imagine walking into a new home with your children and realizing you need:

Clothes and shoes.

Beds and bedding.

Pots, pans, and dishes.

Towels and shower curtains.

Food in the refrigerator and pantry.

Laundry soap and cleaning supplies.

Diapers, wipes, and formula.

School supplies and backpacks.

Furniture.

Transportation.

A working phone.

Utility deposits.

Car repairs or insurance so you can get to work.

Those things may sound ordinary.

But when you leave an abusive home with only what you can safely carry, ordinary things become the building blocks of independence.

That is why Angels in the Attic isn't simply a clothing closet.

We help survivors and their children rebuild a life.

One bed.
One kitchen.
One backpack.
One safe home.
