I see it all the time 👀👀👀

People will show me a very low insurance quote from another company, but when I review the details they have missing coverage or really high deductibles.

It is so important to understand what you’re paying for, how you’re covered, and what your out of pocket expense will be in the event of a loss!

We've seen so much hail already in Iowa in 2026, and there's bound to be more coming. Make sure you have your property prepared and you understand your insurance coverage in regards to hail damage!

Here’s a quick hail season checklist I recommend for homeowners:
✔ Review your deductible
✔ Take updated roof & vehicle photos
✔ Clean gutters and downspouts
✔ Secure outdoor furniture
✔ Trim weak tree branches
✔ Make sure you understand how your roof is covered

One thing I'm seeing more often lately:
Many homeowners don’t realize coverage details have changed until AFTER a storm happens.
