Great Client meeting today. Young couple with a family started a business about 3 years ago. They hired a CPA, met with the firms Quickbooks person, and have file taxes on a schedule C for 2 years. The bank has never been reconciled in their books, and when we tried to reconcile by year it was off $35,000 1year and $45,000 another year. Gathering documents and working together my client reconciled her January books for this year. She now understands how to record transactions, the importance of dates, how to record deposits with square fees, and can resolve the basic issues to reconcile. So proud of her and the opportunity to get this couple on the right track with their business.
