September is Preparedness Month here in Michigan!
As Michiganders, we know our weather can be unpredictable. From severe storms and flooding to winter weather just around the corner, taking a little time now to prepare can make a big difference when the unexpected happens.
The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is encouraging residents to review their insurance policies and make sure they have the coverage they need — including taking a closer look at homeowners, renters, auto, and health insurance.
One important reminder: most standard insurance policies do not cover flood damage or sewer backup, so it’s worth knowing what your policy does — and doesn’t — cover before you need it.
At The Mulcahy Agency, we believe being prepared is something we can all work toward together. We’re proud to be a local Michigan agency, and Mitch was born and raised right here in Michigan. Supporting our neighbors and helping our community be prepared is something that matters to us.
So this September, let’s team up, look out for one another, and take a few steps toward being prepared for whatever Michigan weather brings our way.
A little preparation today can mean a lot less stress tomorrow.
Take a few minutes to review your coverage, secure your important documents, and make sure your family has a plan.
