First and foremost, we pray everyone is safe and well after the storms throughout all areas overnight. 🙏
If your home or auto was damaged in any way, the fastest way to file a claim is:• Use or download your insurance company’s app (if available) and follow the prompts to file a claim• Google your insurance companies name along with “claims phone number” and call directly to report • Review your actual paper policy or digital copy and a claims number will be listed within the policy -
Have your policy number available for claim services if at all possible to help speed up the process
Before filing a claim, here are a few things to check:• What is your auto comprehensive (comp) or your home wind & hail deductible?• Is the damage extensive enough financially to warrant filing a claim?
If you’re unsure about the answers to these or any other questions:• Call a reputable roofing company to come out and provide a free estimate to assess any damage; DO NOT allow them to file a claim on your behalf unless you are positive they are an honest and trustworthy company. Unfortunately the sharks come out in times like these! • Take your vehicle to a reputable body shop for an inspection and estimate
There is not a strict time frame to notify your insurance company, as this will be a documented weather event and grace will be given.
If you have questions, need assistance, or want advice, we will be open Monday and ready to help you with anything you may need.
Your main obligation as an insured is to protect against any potential issues that could cause further damage to your home or vehicle. Video and take pictures of damage prior to any repairs you deem necessary. Keep all receipts from anything purchased.
As always, we are here to serve and support you during times like these. You are not alone in this process.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these storms and please stay safe and alert with possible severe weather again today. 💙
