Changes Ahead!
Buying a home can be an overwhelming process. There are a lot of moving pieces to a successful home buying journey.
Recently, there have been some significant changes to this process for home buyers. Even the most experienced home buyers will note some changes.
Many buyers would casually dip their toes in the water by going to look at homes. Often times at the spur of the moment. While you can still do that. A Realtor will soon likely require that you sign a Buyer’s Agency agreement before showing you a home.
This is a significant departure from years past and a newly implemented requirement for most homebuyers. This agreement is a legally binding contract between you and the Realtor and spells out how they are compensated (more on that in a different post to come).
If you are thinking of buying a home, you will want to research potential real estate agents to represent you. You are going to want the most experienced, knowledgeable agent that suits you. This means you will want to research potential candidates for the job.
