There are no words.

Glade Park is home. It’s where my neighbors live, where my family lives, and where so many of the memories that shaped me were made. Watching the Snyder Fire threaten this place has been heartbreaking. Learning that three wildland firefighters gave their lives protecting it is simply devastating.

These men and women run toward danger so the rest of us have a chance to keep what we love. This time, three of them didn’t make it home.

Today I’m praying for the families of Emily Barker, Nick Hutcherson, and Sydney Watson, for their crews, and for every firefighter still on the line. Thank you will never feel like enough.
