This job is tough! It's tough when you get so many people that ask for quotes that then procrastinate just a little longer, "call me back next week". I hear this everyday. Yesterday I finally got someone to answer the phone from a guy I talked to 2 weeks ago and gave him a quote. He knew he needed it but didn't want to do it "today". He asked to be called back in a week, he kept hanging up on me when I'd call. Yesterday his daughter answered and let me know he passed away the two days ago. She asked who I was and why I was calling. I didn't tell her who I was, I just made something up. I didn't want to tell her he had a chance to take care of his final expenses but chose not to do it and now it falls on her. It's heartbreaking to think if I might have been a little better at my job or a little more pushy he might have went ahead and got insured that day. This job is tough mentally and failure can have consequences for someone's loved ones.
