Fannie Mae removes minimum credit score requirements. The current 620 minimum representative or average median credit score will be removed for new loan case files created on or after November 16, 2025. Loans will still require an AUS approval to be eligible. Fannie Mae will continue to evaluate the overall credit risk of each borrower. Credit scores will also remain a key factor in loan pricing.
