What would you do with 5 extra hours a week?⌛

Most small business owners spend 5+ hours every week on bookkeeping tasks.

That’s 5 hours you could spend on:
→ Getting new clients
→ Improving your product or service
→ Actually taking a summer vacation

Professional bookkeeping isn’t just about clean records, it’s about buying back your time.

May is almost over. Is your bookkeeping caught up? ✅

Here's your end-of-month bookkeeping routine:

🔄 Step 1: Sync your bank and credit card transactions, make sure everything is connected and up to date.
🗂️ Step 2: Review and categorize each transaction accurately.
📊 Step 3: Reconcile your bank and credit card accounts to your statements.
💰 Step 4: Check your income and follow up on any unpaid invoices.
⚠️ Step 5: Review your profit & loss report, flag anything unusual, and set aside money for taxes.

Save this checklist and use it every month. Your future self will thank you! 📌

Need help staying on top of it all? That's exactly what we're here for. 💙

Spring has a way of making everything feel like a fresh start, and your finances are no exception. If you've been putting off getting organized, consider this your sign! 🌱🔅

Friendly reminder: a crumpled receipt in your car cupholder is not a bookkeeping system!

If staying on top of receipts feels chaotic, try one of these habits:

📱 Take a photo the moment you spend the money
📂 Use a dedicated folder (physical or digital) for all receipts
🔗 Connect your business accounts to your bookkeeping software so transactions import automatically
📅 Set a weekly 15-minute "receipt review" on your calendar

The goal is simple: every expense accounted for, nothing lost, nothing missed. Need help building a system that actually works? That's exactly what I'm here for. 💙

📣 Heads up if you're still using QuickBooks Desktop 2023!

Intuit is officially ending support for QuickBooks Desktop 2023 on May 31, 2026. That means no more:
❌ Security updates
❌ Technical support
❌ Payroll and banking add-on services

After that date, your software will become increasingly outdated and vulnerable.

If this is you, now is the time to plan your next step. We're happy to help you figure out the best path forward for your business. 💙

It's National Small Business Week, and I just want to say: I see you. 🙌

Running a business is hard and you show up anyway. That never gets old to me, and it's an honor to be in your corner.
Thank you to every client, every entrepreneur, and everyone in this community. 🩵

I know bookkeeping isn't the most exciting part of running a business. And when things get busy, it's usually the first thing that gets pushed to the bottom of the list. 💛

If you're behind and feeling overwhelmed by your bookkeeping, please know you don't have to figure it all out on your own.

Send me a message and we can talk about getting your books caught up and back on track. No judgment here, just help!

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌿

One of the things I love about being a virtual bookkeeper is the smaller footprint: no commute, paperless workflows, and cloud-based systems that keep everything organized without the paper clutter.

If you've been thinking about going paperless with your bookkeeping, it's easier than you might think. I'm happy to help you make the switch.

Bookkeeping Tip for Small Business Owners 💡

Stop waiting until month-end to review your finances.

Set aside just 10–15 minutes each week to categorize transactions, review your bank feed, and flag anything that looks off. Staying on top of things in real time helps you avoid surprises, keeps your books accurate, and makes month-end so much smoother. 🙌

If you've been curious about what it's like to work with a bookkeeper, here's how I keep it simple:

- We schedule a consultation so I can learn about your business and how I can help
- I review your current books and see where things stand
- I create a plan to get everything organized
- I catch up and maintain your bookkeeping going forward
- You get clear, easy-to-understand financial reports

My goal is to make bookkeeping feel stress-free for you, so you can focus on running your business. If that sounds like what you need, send me a message, I'd love to hear from you! 🩵
