Please mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16th, from 2:00–5:00 PM, as we gather at the Greater Flint Arts Council / Gallery. We will have a dedicated time for sharing cherished memories of Tom from 3:00–4:00 PM, though we warmly welcome you to come and stay for any portion of the afternoon.

Hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

It is with deep sadness that we share that our colleague and friend, Tom Webber, passed away on Saturday, January 31st.

Tom was a valued member of our team and the first employee hired at Franklin Benefits. He played an important role in new business development with a focus on compliance solutions and consulted with many of you on health and welfare compliance, including eligibility, plan administration, and state and federal regulations, including provisions of the Affordable Care Act.

Tom will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, sense of humor, and willingness to help others. He also had an incredible knowledge of pop culture and a talent for sharing interesting facts about just about anything. It has been a privilege to know Tom for more than 30 years and to work alongside him for the past 20. His presence will be truly missed.

When we think of Tom, a few words come to mind: compassionate, kindhearted, loving, intelligent, quirky, athletic, strong, insightful, articulate, and endless curiosity. He was an avid reader and loved music, movies, and television. Today, Tom and (the Franklin Family) should be discussing the Grammys — our likes, dislikes, and everything in between.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and loved ones. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We will share information regarding services to honor Tom as soon as it becomes available.

Today is a reminder to live with passion and purpose. Tom was truly one of a kind, and we loved him very much. Working with Tom was an honor, calling him a friend was a gift.
