A 3-2-1 buydown temporarily reduces your mortgage payments during the first three years while your loan’s fixed interest rate stays the same.

Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Year 1: Payments calculated using a rate 3 percentage points below your fixed rate.
2️⃣ Year 2: Payments calculated using a rate 2 percentage points below your fixed rate.
3️⃣ Year 3: Payments calculated using a rate 1 percentage point below your fixed rate.
4️⃣ Year 4 onward: You make the full scheduled payment.

Upfront buydown funds cover the temporary difference. Buyers must qualify at the full note rate.
