Storms rolled through last night—hope everyone is safe. If you think your roof may have taken a hit, here are a few smart steps to take before filing a claim:

🔍 Do a quick visual check
Look for missing shingles, dents on vents/gutters, or debris in your yard. If you’re not comfortable climbing up, stay on the ground or use binoculars.

📸 Document everything
Take clear photos of any visible damage, inside and out (including ceiling spots or leaks). This helps speed up the claims process later.

🪵 Prevent further damage
If you notice active leaks, use a tarp or temporary fix to minimize additional damage—but only if it’s safe to do so.

🧾 Avoid rushing into repairs
Be cautious of “storm chasers” knocking on your door. Don’t sign anything or agree to work on the spot.

📞 Call your agent first
