Our weekly drive-thru food pantry, Nourish, received a wonderful donation of 50 lbs. of ground beef from Hood/Somervell County Farm Bureau ! Thank you TFB for helping us feed our neighbors in need!

This past week, Hood / Somervell County Farm Bureau donated a total of 450 pounds of beef to local food banks in Hood and Somervell Counties. This brings our county total to nearly 1,300 pounds of beef donated over the past 12 months. 🥩👏

Across Texas in 2025, 75 County Farm Bureaus donated a combined total of 25,509 pounds of protein and 8,262 additional food items, valued at $17,685.86, along with $39,379 in monetary donations and 434 volunteer hours, benefiting 163 local organizations.

Hood / Somervell County Farm Bureau board member, Paul Hayes, has been selected to participate in this year’s AgLead XVII class. We are proud to see him represent our county in such an outstanding leadership program!

AgLead equips participants with valuable legislative and policy knowledge, strengthens leadership and communication skills, provides practical business management tools, and deepens their understanding of how global agriculture impacts Texas.

Another Farmers Feeding Families drive in the books. 400 pounds of ground beef distributed across 4 food banks in Hood & Somervell Counties.

The Hood Somervell County Farm Bureau has always been a gracious neighbor to Papas and they blessed us again. Tryce Berand and Pinckney Smith brought us a 100 lbs of quality ground beef. We are so thankful for this much needed gift. Thank you for blessing our pantry!
