We have our Keynote Speakers lined up for Star Quest XXI!
They are as follows:
WEDNESDAY, 7/15 – Dr. Tony Ramijan, Director, Green Bank Observatory.
THURSDAY, 7/16 – John Wirzburger, Parker Solar Probe Mission Systems Engineer and Assistant Group Supervisor of the Astrodynamics and Control Group of the Space Exploration Sector
FRIDAY, 7/17 -- Dr. Catherine Regan – Planetary Space Physicist working at WVU whose research focuses on the transfer of energy from the solar wind down on to the Martian environment through data analysis from multiple missions at Mars.
SATURDAY, 7/18 – Dr. Fernando Carcaboso Morales – A Dynamic Researcher in Heliophysics, currently serving as an assistant research scientist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in partnership with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

On Sunday, May 31st, at 4:45 am, the moon will be full. It is a Blue Moon, so named because it is the second full moon in one calendar month. It is also a micromoon, since it is near apogee and its distance from Earth will make it seem slightly smaller and dimmer. To be honest, the difference is so slight it is hardly noticeable.

We would like to invite you to attend the upcoming annual four-day Green Bank Star Quest XXI, being held July 15 through July 18, 2026, located in Green Bank, West Virginia. The infrastructure at Green Bank allows events and lectures to continue during inclement weather. Large campsites are available in the observing field with nearby hot showers.
