This months Fill-a-Fridge was very special in that history was made.
Historically 100% of the gift card balance is provided by The Joshua Brandt State Farm, this month was different. This month a gentleman saw my personal post in HIP GOODLETTSVILLE group looking for June’s recipient and took it upon himself to pick up a very generous portion of the donation, walk into my agency and told me to make sure it went to help this months recipient. That gentleman is Arthur Powers.
Thank you Art for helping to provide for this community.
Now, I want to make sure you all get to know this months Fill a Fridge recipient a little better.
She is a mother of a handicap adult child who she cares for all the while working at a local retail store. Her story is one of extremely hard work and constant giving and we are very excited to provide for her in a small way.
As it turns out today is extra special for her because not only is she getting our small grocery gift card donation but another individual helped her find a handicap accessible van so her and her son can explore our community together!
It is truly a privilege to celebrate the community like this and I am grateful every day for the people I meet in this process.

Opening a business has always meant more to me than simply making money.
From the beginning I’ve been dedicated to being an active part of the community, whether that is supporting local businesses, attending ribbon cuttings, the Joshua Brandt State Farm Fill a Fridge program, or the Joshua Brandt State Farm college internship program.
It is truly an incredible experience to have college students come in, learn how to budget, sell, and learn what it truly looks like when a business cares about each and every client.
It is a privilege to watch my interns learn, ask questions, and engage with clients and my team.
I am grateful for my interns, my team, and my clients every single day.

Accountability is paramount in my agency whether that is ensuring that we learn from a mistake or making sure we are keeping ourselves accountable in regard to introducing the appropriate products to our clients to best protect them.
Do not forget that the people who care the most about you will ask you meaningful questions and challenge you to be better, to do better and we care about each and every one of our clients.
My accountability looks like a client passing away and State Farm writing their family a check because they had their life insured with us.
My accountability looks like someone’s spouse becoming disabled and State Farm writing them a check every single month because they had disability insurance with us.
My accountability looks like a clients’ teenage daughter getting into her first very first accident and having no deductible and minimal disruption to her day to day life because of the contract we put in place for her.
800 numbers aren’t accountable, TikTok isn’t accountable, the Joshua Brandt State Farm is accountable.

THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW.
For the past 5 days you all have been calling in for assistance, whether it is a quick question or a serious claim related matter, and chances are the person who picked up the phone and helped with EVERYTHING is our office manager, Amanda Kelley. Amanda has held down this business and is responsible for 1000’s of successful claims/questions/policy adjustments and general client interactions over the years. We have a very high standard for how our clients get treated and Amanda has upheld that standard for nearly four years with my agency!

While we are all cleaning up and recovering from the ice, power outages, and fallen trees; a lot of us are reflecting on the help we’ve received from neighbors, strangers, family, and friends. Having been in the office since Saturday morning and speaking with 100’s of my clients I am realizing that, even when something is outside of the policy contract limits, we are all generally grateful for those who are there for us, even just to provide some advice and comfort. Yes, insurance agencies are very busy right now however, if you’re being “left on read” by your insurance carrier during this time, consider a local agent who cares and who will be there for you. State Farm has been providing so many phenomenal resources for my clients and I cannot be more proud of how they are coming through for people in my community.
