Food security starts with strong partnerships.

This week, Kansas wheat leaders leaders welcomed Under Secretary Lindberg, Representative Mann and Senator Moran along with industry partners to discuss trade opportunities and Food for Peace programs that help deliver U.S. wheat to emergency feeding efforts around the world.

The conversations highlighted the lasting role wheat farmers play in global food assistance.

The most recent numbers from the Kansas Department of Agriculture show that vineyards and wineries in the state harvested more than 1,000 tons of grapes and produced more than 100,000 gallons of wine annually.
