This past weekend, I had the privilege of teaching my kids and niece the intricacies of running a small business. To some, it may have looked like a simple lemonade stand, but to me, it was an opportunity to shape their young minds and help them understand some of life's real world challenges.
We talked about securing financing, analyzing a profit and loss statement, and a few of the other headaches that come with running a business. It was hot, humid, and filled with hiccups along the way, but overall, I consider it a successful weekend.
That said, they nearly made me want to rip my hair out while shopping for supplies. Herding cats might have been easier.
It is up to us to help raise the next generation of entrepreneurs, and we will need all the help we can get. Praise Jesus for these satisfying moments in life and for the opportunity to invest in the next generation.
