Most couples never get on the same page. They just guess. Then they blame each other when it doesn’t work.
Stop guessing.
I teach something called the Love Triangle. It’s simple.
Top of the triangle — God. Your common goals. Your shared vision. Where you are going together.
Bottom left — him. His personality. His needs. His identity. His purpose.
Bottom right — her. Her personality. Her needs. Her identity. Her purpose.
Here’s what most couples get wrong. They try to become one person and lose themselves. Or they stay so separate they never build anything real.
Both are broken. Neither one works.
The Love Triangle fixes it. Each of you stays a powerful person on your own. You keep your identity. You keep your calling. But you also fully know your partner. And you take 100 percent responsibility to meet their needs — whether they meet yours or not.
Then you look up together. God. Common goals. Shared vision. Where are we going in 3 months. 6 months. A year. In our marriage. Our health. Our money. Our family. Our walk with God.
Talk about it. Agree on it. Write it down.
Here’s the payoff. The more each of you focuses on the other’s needs and looks up at God together — the closer you both climb to the top of the triangle. And the closer you get to the top, the closer you get to each other.
Two powerful people. Fully known. Fully committed. Climbing toward God together.
That’s the marriage most couples want and never build. Because they never got on the page.
Stop guessing. Get on the page. Then get to work.
