🍫🥨 Happy National Chocolate Covered Pretzel Day!

There’s actually some fun history behind this sweet-and-salty combination.
Pretzels themselves have been around for centuries and are generally traced back to medieval Europe, where they became especially associated with German baking traditions. Chocolate came to Europe much later, and eventually someone had the brilliant idea of putting the two together. 😋

The exact inventor of the chocolate-covered pretzel isn’t definitively documented, although one popular story credits a German baker in the 1500s. What we do know is that the combination became a classic: salty, crunchy pretzel + rich, sweet chocolate.

Today, October 7 is celebrated as National Chocolate Covered Pretzel Day, which sounds like a perfectly legitimate reason to grab a few. 😂

And since I spend my days putting all the right pieces together to get transactions closed, I can appreciate a combination that just WORKS.

Because everything is better with a little chocolate! 🍫🥨
