The Bedrin Organization was originally founded in 1947 by Murray Bedrin, as Allied Office Products, a small office supply company based in Jersey City. In 1969 and 1972, Murray Bedrin was joined by his two sons, Paul and Gerald, respectively, and over the next 28 years the business grew significantly into one of the largest privately-owned office supply business in the region with five (5) retail

stores and over 230 employees. Headed by brothers Paul and Jerry Bedrin, the company then embarked on an expansion program by purchasing real estate that supported and complemented their office products business. After more than three decades of successful business experience, in 1998 the office products business was sold, so the Bedrin Organization could focus fully on their interest in the shopping center industry. In 2005, Jerry's son Garret joined the Bedrin Organization overseeing acquisitions and leasing. In 2008, Paul's son Michael joined the business to manage the construction and development pipeline. Today, the Bedrin Organization is still family run and manages nearly 1.5-million square feet of shopping centers. The Bedrin Organization focuses on value-added opportunities in the Northeast and Southeast where hands on management, leasing, and capital improvements can add quality to the tenant mix. A strong tenant mix will drive tenant sales across the board, raise rents, and ultimately add long term value to the asset. Posted • .perlman There's an old saying about family businesses & generational wealth, “shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations.”

It means the first generation starts with nothing and rolls up their shirtsleeves, works hard & builds wealth, the 2nd generation enjoys that success, but by the time the 3rd generation comes around, they're back to square one, rolling up their shirtsleeves again.

Garret Bedrin is determined to not let that happen at the Bedrin Organization.

His grandfather, Murray, founded the company, initially "Murray's Gift Gallery", in 1947 after earning two Purple Hearts in WWII and landing on the beaches of Normandy.

Since then, the family has been focused on building a diversified, vibrant family business that continues to thrive across generations.

Garret calls it a mix of strategy with a splash luck, but it's clear their success comes from having a great business model, identifying the right partners & tenants, and a lot of passion and hard work.

Three of our prime shopping centers - Oak Hill Plaza, Memorial Bend, and Killian Hill - have gained some incredible new tenants recently and we're excited to share them with you and welcome them to the Bedrin family! We know these new tenants will offer great value and variety to our properties. We'd also like to send a special thanks to our local teams in Atlanta and Richmond for their hard work. We could not have achieved this strong leasing momentum without their dedication and support.

Whenever we're craving a fantastic lunch and homemade ice cream, we automatically think of TJ's Deli and Grill in our Club Haven Shopping Center. TJ's has been in business for over 30 years and makes ice cream fresh from their own recipes that Winston-Salem residents love. It has been incredible having a business like TJ's right here in one of our prime shopping centers and we wish them the best as we head into the warm summer months.

Mitchell's Piano Gallery has been thriving in their new, larger location in our Club Haven Shopping Center in Winston-Salem, NC! Mitchell's is the best one-stop shop in the area for piano and instrument sales, moving services, and lessons. Their new location has a larger showroom, performance stage, and many more features that make the customer experience more enjoyable. We value the team at Mitchell's and have been honored to be a small part of their huge success.

Join us in celebrating the sale of Hunt Village Shopping Center in Greensboro, NC! We purchased Hunt Village in 2018 and in just three and a half years, we were able to get our investors a 24% annual return - amazing! Hunt Village is a great location, but when we purchased it there were many factors hindering its success. After great strategizing, adjustments, and improvements, we were able to increase occupancy in the center, raise rents, and create a dynamic tenant mix increasing the value of this prime shopping center.
