Investor sentiment towards AI financing - or more pointedly, circular financing - is souring. Rapidly. Coreweave's 9.75% bond issued in July and maturing in 2031 on Wednesday yielded 16% and slumped to a new low in price. Meta's 'Beignet Investor' bond maturing in 2049 is also hovering around its lows, and both bonds are down around 20% from issue. Oracle's 4.9% bond maturing in 2033 registered a record low today. You get the picture.

For one, you’ll need to be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident — rockets share designs similar to that of ballistic missiles, and so the technology is highly regulated by the government. You’ll also be expected to work weekends. And be prepared for Elon Musk to personally review your resume as well. US stocks fell sharply on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq clocking its biggest fall in three months, on surprisingly strong inflation data and deepening worries over the costs involved in financing the AI buildout. Elon Musk’s SpaceX has struck a deal to buy a nationwide low-band wireless spectrum, a move the company said would allow Starlink Mobile, its satellite-based cellular service, to become a full-fledged U.S. mobile carrier.

SpaceX said on Thursday that it will buy Grain Management’s entire nationwide portfolio of 800 megahertz (MHz) spectrum licenses, giving the company access to as much as 14 MHz of paired spectrum.

“This is the last critical piece of the spectrum puzzle needed for SpaceX to provide complete phone coverage in America,” Musk said in a post on X.
