My hubby and I opened our pool last Thursday. We have had a pool in this location since the house was purchased in the 80’s. I dug out my rubber snakes today for the pool rail. We have these lovely brown headed cow birds that clean the p**p from their nests and gifts us the p**p by landing on the rail and leaving their offering. I am sitting in my back yard enjoying a glass of wine and watching the birds head to the rail and make a hard bank away once they get sight of the snakes. Very entertaining and no more offering.

Me: No because you’ll just sit and stare at the car if I don’t get out and walk. It’s cold and windy and I’m not wanting to walk tonight.
Them: Mom. Please, please! We need a good run. Please.

I have not had to deal with any of my family going through this awful disease but I have watched clients go through it. It is the saddest thing to witness. Hopefully someone will find a treatment for this soon.

Someone once said if you take care of someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they get the diagnosis, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they pass away. This is called "ambigua loss".
I don't wish dementia on anyone. As the brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They could end up lying in bed, not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll past this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has battled or is still battling dementia.
To raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like my friends to put this on their page today.
