That’s a wrap on 2026 UTP Broker Week! 🎯

This interactive week helped our trainees strengthen their understanding of the important relationship between Markel and our broker partners. From a signature UTP tradition centered around favorite quotes to mock broker meetings and panel discussions with broker partners, participants had plenty of opportunities to learn, connect and grow.

Throughout the week, trainees heard from Markel leaders and former UTP participants, strengthened their business development skills and developed practical strategies for building strong broker relationships. One key takeaway: pick up the phone. In a world of text messages and emails, brokers still value a direct conversation with their underwriters.
