Between scary costumes, haunted houses and frightening movies, there's plenty to give you a scare. But this Halloween, there's something else to watch out for: SCAMS! 🎃

We're kicking off our Scary Scams series with phone call scams and how to spot the warning signs. Scammers may pose as your bank, claiming there's a fraudulent payment, or impersonate law enforcement, threatening arrest over missed jury duty or an outstanding warrant unless you pay a fee.

🚩 Be cautious of threats, requests for personal information, or pressure to send money, especially if they initiated the call. Remember, caller ID can be faked! If something feels off, hang up and call the official number. If you've been scammed, contact your bank directly using its verified number and secure your accounts right away.

Great bosses make a difference, but great people make an even bigger impact! We’re thankful to have leaders who genuinely care about their employees, our customers, and the community we serve. And, of course, they’re pretty great at all things insurance, too! 😉

This photo takes us back to 2011, when we celebrated our move to 984 Tibbetts-Wick Road with a ribbon cutting and open house! So much has changed over the years, but one thing that has remained the same is the dedication, hard work, and care these two have put into making Thompson Insurance Group what it is today.

🍂 Don’t Let Glare Blind You! ☀️🚗

During fall, the sun sits lower in the sky, especially around sunrise and sunset. Sun glare can scatter off dirt, scratches, or film on your windshield, making the glass act like a mirror and seriously reducing visibility.

Help prevent glare and fogging by:
🧽 Keeping your windshield clean inside and out
🌡️ Using the defrost setting with warm or hot air on cold mornings
💨 Turning on the A/C to help remove moisture
⏰ Allowing time to start your car before you leave
🚗 Slowing down when visibility is reduced

A little attention now can help prevent drainage problems later this fall and as winter approaches. Help protect your home by keeping your gutters clear all season long.

As temperatures drop and daylight gets shorter, deer become more active, especially around dawn and dusk.🦌⚠️

Keep these tips in mind when driving this fall: Slow down and stay alert, especially in deer-crossing areas. If you see one deer, watch for others nearby. Use your high beams when appropriate, and if a deer crosses your path, avoid sudden swerving. Be especially cautious around dawn, dusk and after dark.

A little extra caution can help you avoid an unexpected encounter.
