Thank you to my wonderful Lake Erie Community FCU family!
I was treated to a surprise retirement party twice this week, visits, cards, flowers, treats, and gifts from my Lake Erie Community Federal Credit Union friends, and I love and appreciate all of you!
I’m humbled and a little overwhelmed by the kind messages I’ve been receiving. I didn’t expect it, but certainly enjoy it! 😜 Thank you! 💕

The leaves are falling, the temperature is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter, and change is in the air!

LECFCU members should be receiving new member information packets this week from Widget Financial. Please take a moment to look over, and contact the office with any questions you may have.

Like Lucy and Linus kicking the leaves along the path, forging ahead, so is your little credit union. Please note that we will be CLOSED from 1:00 pm 10/28 - 10/31. RE-OPEN as Widget Financial 11/1.

Big news! After 74 years as your home town credit union, Lake Erie Community FCU (LECFCU) will be merging into Widget Financial. To complete the merger, we will be closed at 1:00 pm on 10/28, and remain closed through 10/31. We will re-open as Widget Financial on 11/1. Please plan accordingly.

This merger will provide our members access to a compliment of products and services that have been widely requested, such as real time debit card processing and remote check capture.

The Girard branch will remain open at 721 Rice Ave, and Debbie and Cindy will continue to provide the same excellent service that you’ve come to expect from LECFCU. Kris is taking the opportunity to retire early, leaving the credit union in the capable hands of Widget Financial.

Thank you to everyone who has supported LECFCU since 1948! Our members are what made this a great credit union!
