It's the best week of the year in Upshur County, and we hope to see you out enjoying every minute of it.

Our Gilmer location will be closed Friday and Saturday, October 16 and 17, so our team can celebrate too. GNB Mobile is available all weekend, and we'll see you again on Monday. The Longview branch will be open.

In 1901, this bank opened its doors as Farmers and Merchants National Bank in one small room in the corner of the Upshur County courthouse. 💚

125 years later, the building and the name have changed, but the heart of it hasn't. We're still local, still making decisions right here at home and still proud to serve Gilmer and Longview.

Avery Bucher began her banking career at 18 while attending LeTourneau University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Business. She later received her Master’s in Human Resources from UT Tyler. With experience across many areas of banking and team management, Avery joined Gilmer National Bank in 2017 as a Credit Analyst and is now Director of Operations, Vice President.

She is married to Paul, a teacher and baseball coach at White Oak High School, and they have two children, Aubri and Jack. In her free time, Avery enjoys family time, watching her kids play sports, and reading.

Allison Maggard began her career in banking over twenty-five years ago. Her roles have included Bookkeeping, New Accounts, Sr. Personal Banker, Branch Manager, and Bank Services Officer.

Allison started with GNB as a Bookkeeper and was promoted to Bookkeeping Supervisor. She has been in her current role, Debit Card & Fraud Analysis Case Manager, for 5 years.

When she is not at work, Allison enjoys traveling with her husband of 35 years, Matt. She has 2 grown children and is Mimi to 6 grandchildren, who keep her busy with school sports and activities. When not with family, she enjoys riding her Harley, playing cards, golf, pickleball, reading, and antiquing with friends! If you see her in her Jeep, "My Poppet," make sure to wave!
