Here's the background on the choice of the words "covenant," "legacy," and "vanguard."
I'm big on covenants, because of my faith in the God of Israel.
Covenants are more supernatural than "contracts."
Now don't get me wrong -- insurance policies are contracts, so I like reading and studying them for gaps and weaknesses (especially if my competitors are responsible for creating them).
But contracts have expiry dates ... usually, when they cease to be beneficial to one or more parties.
A COVENANT is an agreement to be united through thick and thin, whether the other party is "serving you" or not.
To care about the deep stuff as well as the shallow.
In and outside my work, I pursue "covenantal" relationships. If I'm smart, I'll pursue the same kind of customers.
LEGACY, meanwhile, comes from my background of ghostwriting and publishing.
I chose "legacy" because I like working with people who think the way I do. They desire a certain cultural and environmental experience.
If you're going to create culture, you have to sweat the small stuff. My best clients are like that ... they don't take for granted that details will work themselves out.
And then there's VANGUARD -- this hearkens back to my former life as a United States soldier serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
A protector of the breach. The first and last line of defense. The guy you count on to leave zero margin for error.
That's me. That's CLV Insurance.
