It's a little long (3ish min) but worth it for those needing to work on their credit.

Credit is so valuable in life and can be used for you, or against you.

35% is based on payment history
30% credit utilization (keep credit usage under 10% of combined balances)
15% length of credit
10% types of credit you have
10% New credit (short term negative impact)

If new to credit, cheapest way to build credit is be added as an authorized user to someone's credit account or start a secured credit card with a lender.

To fix your credit:
- pay past due owed and request late reporting be removed
- if debt charged off and in collections, request a settlement if available to save on money. (May or may not report as paid in full.)
Payment plans may be available as well.
