If your insurance agent didn’t offer gap insurance on a financed car… and it got totaled—who’s left holding the bag?
You are.
That’s the simplest way to understand the difference between non-traditional vs. traditional home warranties.
Non-traditional warranties give you freedom:
You choose your contractor.
You control the conversation.
You can go beyond the scope of the warranty.
But here’s the catch… they cap what they’ll pay—and those caps are based on retail pricing.
So when that 3-ton AC unit fails and the warranty pays $2,500—but the real cost is $8,000–$10,000—
