Marry the house - date the rate: volume 2! While many people think waiting to buy is a good idea right now, waitng results in higher prices later on a majority of the time. A year ago, many buyers were told that "rates would go down next year" - and as it stands right now, rates are almost exactly the same now as they were this time a year ago - and home prices are even higher!

Marry the house, date the rate! While I can't take credit for this fun statement, I hear this a lot in the market these days, and I'm sure you do too. If you find a house that you love and you can afford it, you shouldn't wait for the rates to come down! Jump on the opportunity, because mortgages are temporary and refinancing down the road is always an option.
