As a college freshman, Davis McCord enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for nine years before becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent.
"A good friend of mine is a State Farm customer, and his agent tried to recruit him to work for him. Instead, my friend referred me, and I worked as a team member for three years."
When Davis started as an agent team member, he wasn't familiar with the agent opportunity. However, after six months, he was all in with hopes of becoming a State Farm agent.
"The opportunity to work for myself while benefiting from the brand recognition of one of the largest providers really attracted me.
"My favorite part of being an agent is connecting with State Farm customers. Being there for them through both the good and bad times — there’s nothing quite like the feeling of being their helping hand."
