We are saddened to hear of the passing of a respected member of our agricultural community and our friend, Clay Vincent.

His years of dedication to agriculture, the relationships he built, and the contributions he made to the industry will not be forgotten.
Our farming community is better because of people like him
who devoted so much of their lives to agriculture and helped pave the way for future generations.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, and all those in the agricultural community who had the
privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

He will be greatly missed.

And of course, Donna brought a little bit of Delaware to D.C. 💛🌽

📣 Delmarva soybean producers — this is one to pay attention to.

There have been ongoing discussions about potentially bringing NFAC/FAC soybean insurance to the Delmarva region. This would allow producers to insure full-season and double-crop soybeans separately—something that isn’t currently available under MPCI policies like Revenue Protection and Yield Protection in our area.

Why does it matter? Double-crop soybeans typically yield differently than full-season beans, and combining that production can impact your APH and, ultimately, your insurance guarantee.

Nate Bruce, Farm Business Management Specialist with the University of Delaware, breaks down what NFAC/FAC could mean for Delmarva producers, including potential impacts to APHs, guarantees, premiums and recordkeeping.

Producers are also being asked to provide feedback on whether they would like to see NFAC/FAC offered in our region.

As always, we encourage you to talk with your crop insurance agent about how a change like this could impact your individual operation before making a decision.
