Being a Dad isn’t about paying child support, punching a clock, or just showing up.
It’s about making sure your family is taken care of. Being present even when it’s hard. Doing it all with a smile even when the universe seems to be fighting you at every turn.
It’s the crazy hours. The things done under the radar that go unnoticed. The personal sacrifices made for the benefit of others. Carrying the weight of the world — and doing it undetected. Finding time to be present when there’s no time to spare.
So today, a few shoutouts:
To the Dads who co-parent — it’s a balancing act that takes real finesse.
To the single Dads doing it “alone” — we see you.
To the “Mom-Dads” stepping up to fill both roles at once.
To the new Dads, just getting their first taste of their purpose in life.
To my daughter, Emma — you are my world and you make it worthwhile every single day. Being your Dad has been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced.
And to my Dad — who taught me unconditional love, how to work, and how to stand up for myself. Thank you.
Happy Father’s Day. 👊
