Don't Get Fooled by This Fake MyChart Email

Scammers are sending fake emails and texts pretending to be MyChart, dangling a
"free MyChart Medicare Kit" or "Senior Health Package" to get you to click a link.
That link leads to a fake page built to steal your personal info. Several health
systems have warned patients about it, and Epic (the company behind MyChart)
says scammers are cashing in on how much people trust that brand. These scams
are getting sneakier by the day, even tech folks say they're hard to catch
sometimes.

How to stay safe:

-Don't click links in emails or texts you weren't expecting β€” open the MyChart
app yourself or type the website in directly
-MyChart will NEVER ask you to press keyboard shortcuts or change the
email/phone number on your account.
-If something feels off, call your doctor's office and ask before clicking or
entering anything
