should not come as a shock. What if I told you that planning could actually be quite fun? My love and passion for personal finance and investing started at a young age. I was always very curious about the markets and how to make my money work as hard as I did. My dad kept telling me about some guy named Warren Buffet and something called "compounding interest." Either way, it led me on my journey to study business at Lake Tahoe's Sierra Nevada University. Living in Lake Tahoe allowed me to follow my other passion and lifelong dream to be a professional snowboarder, competing in contests like the X-Games, US Open and the Dew Tour. I was able to give back to the sport I loved so much by coaching at multiple snowboarding camps and for families. After graduating from college, I moved to Colorado and met my husband, Mike, who was born and raised in Petoskey, which is how we ended up in Northern Michigan. We are blessed to have our two kids, Wyatt and Elle, and our crazy Wheaten Terrier, Chip. When I'm out of the office, you'll catch me with my family, snowboarding or snowmobiling during the winter, dirtbiking and camping during the warmer months and hanging out with friends.
