2027 Open Enrollement will be here before you can say October 15th. Please start thinking about your Health and Insurance needs early. Medicare 2027 Open Enrollment is October 15th - December 7th. This is the time that is for changing plans:
Part D Drug Plans
Medicare Advantage Open enrollment

The effective date will be January 1, 2027.

My recommendation is that you check your medication list and make sure you are in the best plan for you. It has been my experience that you should check the plans each year. With all the changes you truly need to check this year.
Also, if you have an Advantage Plan this is your opportunity to change plans or, exit back to regular Medicare and look at Medicare Supplements.

You do have alot to think about.

Are you enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan but considering a return to Original Medicare—Parts A and B—with a Medicare Supplement?

If your Medicare Advantage Plan sends you an official notice stating that your plan is ending or leaving your service area, please do not throw that letter away!

That letter may be your “Golden Ticket.” It can provide you with guaranteed-issue rights to purchase certain Medicare Supplement plans without being denied or charged more because of your health.

You may apply:

✅ As early as 60 days before your Medicare Advantage coverage ends
✅ No later than 63 days after your coverage ends

These rights apply only in certain situations, so it is important to review your letter and act within the required timeframe.
