📢 ATTENTION NEVADA BUSINESS OWNERS! 📢
Starting October 1st, 2026, Nevada is updating its Workers’ Compensation payroll rules under Senate Bill 317 (SB 317).
Here is a quick breakdown of what’s changing and what it means for your business: 👇
🔹 The Old Rule: Payroll cap was set at $36,000 per employee per year.
🔹 The New Rule: The payroll cap is increasing to $98,434 per employee (and will adjust annually around January 1st based on state averages).
💡 The Good News: Insurance carriers are bringing down their base rates to help offset the higher payroll numbers! The goal is to minimize the impact on business owners as much as possible.
