Throughout my life, helping others has always been an integral part of who I am. I chose a career in financial services because I believe I can make a difference in the lives of people in my community. At Edward Jones, we strive to make sure clients feel heard, and that we understand their unique story. We also work to help clients understand the investment world in terms they can relate to. I was
raised by a single mother who taught me the importance of budgeting and saving from an early age. In 2016 I bought my first home, an accomplishment my mother was never able to achieve herself. After graduating from Keene State College with an English degree I immediately started working as a Park Ranger with the US Army Corps of Engineers. While this seems like a dream job for many, for me it left me feeling unfulfilled. So in 2018 I took a huge leap of faith and left my career to become a full time Realtor working on only commission. But I was driven to help people achieve what I had only a few years earlier, the dream of homeownership. I worked largely with first time homebuyers helping to educate them and guide them through the process and this filled the void I had been missing before by giving me a sense of purpose. Following the pandemic and the shutdown the real estate market became increasingly more competitive with many first time buyers having little to no buying power. Because of this I felt I could no longer adequately advocate for my clients so I left the industry. With no idea where to go from there I eventually found myself working for a local community bank. Once again I felt a sense of satisfaction of helping people, but this time with their personal finances. It was at this point that my personal financial advisor, also with Edward Jones, asked me if I would be interested in coming to work for them? Truth be told I had thought about it. He seemed like he had an amazing job and though I was interested I didn’t feel confident I had the necessary knowledge to succeed. So I went back to school, starting at Mount Wachusett Community College to fill in the gaps in my knowledge base. Flash forward two years and I am finally getting to start my career here at Edward Jones and I am extremely excited for the opportunity!
