The safety of our staff and our members is our number one concern. As such, we will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to severe weather.

Weather permitting, we will return to normal business hours on Wednesday, January 17th. Please make arrangements to conduct business today. The office will remain open until 4:30pm. Please stay warm and safe.

Currently all AT&T services are down at the office. The phones and internet are not working. We are working with AT&T to get the problem fixed. The only way to contact us at this point is to come into the office. We are open 9am-430pm. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Due to expected weather, Galveston ISD will be closed on Tuesday, September 14th, therefore Galveston School Employees FCU will also be closed. Please check your emails and the credit union page for future updates. Weather permitting, we plan to open on Wednesday September 15th.

To adhere to GISD's early closing of all campuses and facilities the credit union will close today at 1pm. Please check your emails and the Credit Union page for further updates about the remaining week. We will try to closely follow whatever decision GISD makes in regards to closures. Please make arrangements by calling in any withdrawal requests today before we close at 1pm. Feel free to email the credit union with any questions.

We hope our members are staying safe and warm! Galveston School Employees FCU will only be open today and tomorrow (Thursday & Friday) from 9am-12pm. Our power has been restored, but we are still without heat and water. We are here to serve you in a limited capacity. We will only be accepting and disbursing checks. No cash will be accepted of given. Due to Covid-19 guidelines and our inability to wash our hands after handling cash. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but our priority must remain on the safety of our members and staff. Please call you transaction in ahead of your arrival. Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe!

September 21, 2020

Due to Tropical Storm Beta, Galveston School Employees Federal Credit Union will close at 1pm today, Monday September 21st, and remain closed on Tuesday, September 22nd.

Although GISD has made the decision to be closed both today and tomorrow, we are allowing our members access until 1pm today.

Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 weather permitting. Please look out for further emails if anything changes. Also, info will be posted on our FB page. Stay safe.

Galveston School Employees Federal Credit Union will be closing today, Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 12 noon due to the evacuation order in place by the City of Galveston. Tentatively, we will reopen on Friday August 28th at 9am assuming we are able to do so. Please check your emails for changes and follow the Credit Union’s page for updates.
