This letter does indicate at the top that it is a solicitation for services and at the bottom that they aren't really affiliated with your lender, but we can all probably agree that it could easily be misunderstood and the recipient could easily be misled. Using fear and an unnecessary sense of urgency mixed with just enough personal details looks an awful lot like several of the scam tactics we have been warning to recognize and avoid. Not knowing anything about this company, this type of a sales approach likely means doing business with them is also best avoided. Thank you to the recipient for sharing so we can all remain vigilant!
