ATTENTION:

We are experiencing technical difficulties with our 419-522-0607 phone line due to issues from the company Brightspeed. It sounds like a busy signal when you call it. You may call the other landline number to reach Gina directly by dialing 740-383-9911. We are hoping they resolve this problem asap. Brightspeed

YOU CAN'T BAIL SOMEONE OUT OF JAIL WITH CASH APP, ZELLE, OR BITCOIN!

Just this morning, Lt. Bloom met a man who was seeking help bonding his daughter out of jail. While assisting him, Lt. Bloom heard the man mention that he was unfamiliar with the Cash App payment process. That raised a red flag.

IT WAS A SCAM! 🚨

Fortunately, Lt. Bloom recognized the warning signs and helped prevent the man from becoming a victim. He used the encounter as an educational opportunity and saved him from becoming a victim.

Here’s what you need to know:

💰 Be cautious of payment apps: If someone claiming to be a bail bondsman asks you to send money through a mobile payment app, be suspicious. Legitimate bail bond services use established business practices and traditional payment methods.

🔎 Verify before you pay: Take time to research the company, check reviews, and confirm their credentials before sending any money. Also, check inmate searches to see if your loved one is actually in jail.

📱 Be careful with unexpected calls: Scammers may use online inmate databases to find information about incarcerated individuals and then contact their families. An unexpected call about a loved one’s arrest should be treated with caution.

When in doubt, stop and verify. Don’t let scammers use your concern for a loved one to pressure you into sending money!

Bail bonds protect the presumption of innocence and allow defendants to continue working, supporting their families, and preparing their defense while their case is pending. Without this system, defendants who have not been convicted of anything could remain in jail simply because they cannot afford...

I’m not going to say who…. but a friend just called and asked if I would loan her $1300 to help pay her rent. Those who know me, know that I’m always willing to help out friends & family. I told her to give me some time to think about it and I would call her back.
Before I called her back, her brother called to let me know that she was lying and not to give her the money !!
He went on to say that the real reason she wanted the $1300 was to get her boyfriend out of jail so she could be under the same roof as him for his birthday.
I thought about it for a minute and decided to give her the money anyway, because we all need help at times.
A couple of hours later I get a call from the police station. It was her - crying, screaming and asking why I gave her counterfeit money!
My response…. so you and your boyfriend could be under the same roof for his birthday!
If you laughed, your other friends may want to laugh too!! Go ahead & steal this…… I did!!!!

To our friends in Galion and any guests (open to all!) coming to our upcoming Galion Kids Festival Presented by Sluss Realty and AA American Bail Bonds, get ready because we are well underway!

Sluss Realty has been putting on our Ontario Kids Festival Presented by Sluss for the last four years, and are beyond stoked to share that we've reached out to some of our tried and true favorites (and some new!) and here's what you can already expect from 9-1 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Heise Park:

Lots of inflatables, an obstacle course, Busy B's Toddler play area, petting zoo, train rides, bubble station, balloon artist, carnival games, prizes, DJ and more! And guess what? Every bit of what we just listed is absolutely free! It's a blessing to have always offered this at our Ontario Kids Festival and we know how much parents have told us they appreciate it, so we're keeping things the same for Galion!

Take a look at some past photos to get a great idea. 😉

There will also be lots of vendors and food trucks! Many of our vendors have great giveaways and fun games for kiddos.

We are still seeking sponsors and vendors, so please reach out as soon as possible!

This time, with the help of AA American Bail Bonds co-presenting, we have no doubt that this event will be unforgettable and extra special.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! GALION KIDS FESTIVAL!

As many of you know, we've held the Ontario Kids Festival Presented by Sluss Realty for the last four years.

Last week, we were approached by AA American Bail Bonds in Galion and asked if we would join forces to put on a kids festival in Galion... this year.

Our first reaction honestly a little bit of panic as we just wrapped our Ontario event a month ago. But when we learned Galion would not be having their annual Oktoberfest this year, we agreed -- let's still give local kids something fun to do!

Today, our marketing director and Sluss co-owner Jami Kinton-Sluss met with Gina Powell, owner of AA American Bail Bonds, at Heise Park, and now from 9-1 pm Sept. 13, we will hold Galion's first Kids Festival at Heise, in the lot you see behind us!

We are thrilled to have approval and support from the city and now we need you. Just like our Ontario Kids Festival Presented by Sluss, everything will be free, but boy do we need to scramble.

If you're interested in being a sponsor, email [email protected]. If you're interested in being a vendor, email [email protected]

The ball is already rolling and we are planning carnival games, inflatables, a petting zoo, train rides, and so much more to come! Mark your calendars and come join the fun!
