After more than **15 years of helping people navigate health insurance and Medicare**, I’ve noticed something:
The people who go into Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period feeling the most prepared are usually the ones who start asking questions **before October**.
August and September are a great time to start thinking about things like:
☀️ Have any of my medications changed since I last reviewed my coverage?
☀️ Are my doctors and preferred hospitals still in my plan’s network?
☀️ Do I understand what I could actually pay out of pocket if I have a hospital stay, surgery, or other major health event?
☀️ Are there changes for the upcoming year that I need to be watching for?
☀️ Am I actually using the benefits included with my current plan?
You don’t have to make decisions today. But you **can start asking questions now** so you’re better prepared when it’s time to review your options.
And with changes coming for **2027 Medicare plans**, being prepared matters.
Have Medicare questions? Drop **QUESTIONS** in the comments or send us a message. We’re happy to help you understand what you have and what you should be watching for as we head toward AEP.
