Congratulations to the University of Florida Bladesmithing Team for winning First Place at TMS 2019! Huge shoutout to the Team Captains, Michelle Thackeray and Caroline Kelly as well as all others who assisted in the creation of the "Decapigator".

We would also like to thank the UF Materials Science and Engineering Department, specifically the department chair, Dr. Manuel, MA faculty chair, Dr. Fuchs, as wells as professors, Dr. Patterson and Dr. Ruzycki. This accomplishment would not have been possible without the help of Jordan Borstelmann and Crooked Path Forge.

For winning 1st place our team received:
$2000 Cash Prize
TMS-Wadsworth-Sherby Bladesmithing Grand Prize Medal
Commemorative Volume of Wadsworth-Sherby Collected Works on Damascus Steels & Related Topics.

Thanks to everyone who came to MA's 1st GBM of the semester yesterday! We had a fantastic turnout and hopefully everyone is excited for all of the great events we have planned this semester.
