When I started my agency, there was a prayer that I would always recite (and still do). I would ask God “please allow my name to be spoken in rooms that I’ve never yet stepped in.”

We are fine, we lost power for a few hours. No major damage to the home, a few downed shrubs/bushes.

Hurricane Milton made landfall at SRQ Sarasota area which is online the line of Sarasota and Manatee counties. A little calm now but we know the worst is yet to come. We are good. No internet or cable. We have playing cards and radio.

Landfall is about to happen in minutes. Power is on but flickering. We are in a safe place in the house. Winds are very strong.

Family/friends. We are okay. I’ll be checking in here when I can to preserve battery power for my phone. Please note they have indicated there will be a loss of power and running water, not a matter of if but when. We have a generator. We have food. We have water. We have faith that we will be okay. Praying for our neighbors, friends, and family in this path.
